Ian Bennett and Benedict Valuks started making music together in late 2018, brought together through the bustling and vibrant south London music scene and their love of alt-folk, finger-style guitar and vocal harmonies. In 2024 Jack Neale joined the band on bass, expanding the sound and energy of the songs.

​Bennett Valuks perform an eclectic mix of original songs and covers that hold meaning to them. Expect flavours of Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlins, Townes Van Zandt, Simon and Garfunkel, with a tasteful sprinkling of Radiohead and Jeff Buckley, for good measure. You can catch them performing in London venues (mostly south of the river) and occasionally beyond.
